JOHN McGinlay, David Lee and a host of other Wanderers legends will be pulling their boots to raise money for a former Burnden Park employee this Bank Holiday Monday.
Mother-of-three Polly Haydock, from Atherton, worked for Wanderers in the club shop in the nineties and has was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October 2015.
She has since undergone some revolutionary immunotherapy treatment in Germany which has improved her quality of life, made possible by an inspiring fundraising drive.
A team of Super Whites legends has now agreed to take on a Polly’s Angels XI at Daisy Hill Football Club on Monday, May 1, kick-off 2pm.
There will be a host of family entertainment, which continues into the evening with a disco and a turn from top comedian Ben Lawes.
Entry is £3 on the gate.
