Can we complain about a 2-0 home win?

I'm not sure, but I'll have a go.

Wanderers weren't at their best on Boxing Day against West Brom.

But they came up against a very slick side, who pass the ball as well as any team I've seen in 2010.

We just have to thank the footballing gods that they couldn't shoot for toffee.

Peter Odemwingie was their worst culprit.

He wasted two glorious chances – one in each half – and produced another woeful pass when West Brom caught us on the break two-on-one in the first half.

Our defence has looked shaky all season, but ironically, managed a clean sheet after arguably one of their lesser performances.

I'm one of Gretar Steinsson's biggest fans but he struggled against Somen Tchoyi, who looked like a very handy player.

He was an absolute powerhouse down West Brom's left wing and gave Steinsson a torrid time up until the Icelander was forced off through injury on the hour.

The man of the match at the Reebok was Stu Holden and The Bolton News plumped for Matty Taylor, who has been excellent this season – but mine was Chung-Yong Lee.

Rightly back in the team, after his omission against Sunderland, the South Korea star did exactly what he is paid to do when he set up Taylor for Wanderers' first on 40 minutes.

The composure he showed was world class.

It looked like he'd taken the ball too far when he rounded Scott Carson.

Lesser players may have tried to finish from a tight angle and wasted the chance – but not Chungy.

He'll be sorely missed when he jets off to Qatar for the Asian Cup.

I hope Owen Coyle uses the opportunity to give Rodrigo Moreno a chance to start a game – rather than reverting back to using Martin Petrov and Matt Taylor.

I didn’t feel like that experiment worked against Sunderland and Rodrigo has given enough glimpses of class in his handful of cameos to show he can do the business in the Premier League.

Wanderers fans are champing at the bit to see more of the youngster – so let’s see what he can do.
