SATURDAY proved to be a good day for Radcliffe Borough despite their match at home to Padiham being called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Results elsewhere favoured Boro, although they remain second-bottom of Evo-stik Division One North.
The Stainton Park outfit will have been comforted by the fact bottom side Ossett Albion remain three points behind them after they went down at home to Salford City, while the three sides above them also lost.
Boro’s next match, weather permitting, will be at home to Clitheroe on Tuesday night, kick off 7.45pm.
In the North West Counties League Division One, Atherton LR were beaten 3-0 at Formby and Atherton Collieries’ match at home to Daisy Hill was popstponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
