ATHERTON Collieries kick off their North West Counties League Premier Division campaign at Nelson tomorrow looking to build on progress in the FA Cup last week.

Colls beat Bacup Borough 3-2 in last Saturday's FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie at Alder House and after Monday's home league opener against West Didsbury and Chorlton was postponed due to their opponents' FA Cup replay, they start their league season on the road.

In the First Division, Atherton LR host Sandbach United at Crilly Park after securing their first point of the season with a 2-2 home draw against Charnock Richard on Tuesday night.

Goals from Favour Intende on 32 minutes and Kieran Halliwell in the final minute earned a share of the spoils.

Elsewhere tomorrow, Daisy Hill welcome league new boys Prestwich Heys to New Sirs.

Daisy had an impressive 4-0 win at AFC Blackpool in midweek to record their first win of the campaign.

Goals from Ashley Stott (36), Kyle Hynds (51), Alex McPolin (65) and Jake Foster (88) sealed all three points.
