BOLTON darter Lisa Ashton made it through to the last four of the British Darts Organisation’s world championships with a 2-0 set victory over Fallon Sherrock at Lakeside today.
Ashton, from Johnson Fold, set up a last-four clash with Aileen de Graaf as she looks to make a fourth final and reclaim the trophy she won in both 2014 and 2015.
Ashton told Channel 4: “I was happy to get the win in the end.
“It was always going to be a tough game against a player like Fallon and away from the oche we get on well.
“I know she is a good player and that I would have to step it up and, thankfully, I took my chances to get through. I have been checking out really well and that helped me.
“It will be another tough game in the semi-final but I will be ready.”
Ashton’s last-four tie takes place tomorrow with the final scheduled for Saturday.
