ENTRIES are now being accepted for this year's Two Crosses Circuit LDWA Challenge Event takes place in just under two weeks’ time.

Offering options of either 17 or 25 miles in the West Pennine countryside, the event on Sunday, March 19, offers a day out for both walkers and runners, visiting Affetside Cross, Jumbles Reservoir, Entwhistle, Bull Hill (25 mile), Pilgrims Cross and Peel Tower.

With a nine-hour limit, it is suitable for a wide range of walkers and runners, and ideal preparation for the London Marathon in April.

The 17-mile event is open to 14-17-year-olds, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian and well behaved dogs under strict control are also allowed.

The event also has a reputation for copious food, both at the checkpoints and the finish, and all amazingly for only £8 for LDWA members and £10 for non-members.

With a limit of 300, entries are now being taken and forms are available on the East Lancashire LDWA website at www.ldwa.org.uk/EastLancashire.
