HORWICH Cycling Club kicked off the time trial season in style when they won the North Lancashire Time Trial Association combined clubs' 10-mile time trial senior category at Winmarleigh, Cockerham.
The times of the fastest three riders of each club counted towards their overall totals and, although Zappi RT won the overall competition, Horwich produced the fastest senior times as Zappi RT are juniors.
Dave Powell and Chris Bodenham had the joint fastest Horwich time of 23mins 9secs with Dave Tabron the club's third counter with 23:41.
The club's other riders were Martin Horribin who clocked 24.40, Ben Horribin (24.50) and Cameron Mould (26.03).
A total of 114 riders and 25 clubs took part in what was first time trial Horwich members had taken part in this season.
