BURNDEN’S Rob Short was first to finish for the club as 21 members took part in the Bolton 10K at Leverhulme Park.
He finished in 16th place with a time of 39mins 3secs, with Lee White just over a minute behind in 27th, his time of 40:10 putting him fourth M40.
Mark Jackson was just a short distance behind in 40:38.
Carolyn Barker was the first female member to finish, her time of 49:49 earning her third place in the F45 age group.
Katy Thompson was fourth F45 in 50:41 and their times, along with Linda O’Byrne’s 50:58 secured the ladies team prize for the club.

The club had six runners in the London Marathon with men’s captain Marcus Taylor the star of the show with a cracking time of 3:12:13. He finished 3,321st overall in a field of nearly 41,000 putting him in the top eight per cent of finishers.
Taylor covered the first 10K in 42:17 and reached halfway in 1:29:58.
Shirley Staveley was inside the top quarter of finishers and 135th F50 with her time of 3:47:08. She passed 10K in 50:17 and reached halfway in 1:48:50.
Also under four hours was Jane Forrest who ran 52:50 for the first 10K and passed halfway in 1:51:34 on her way to a finishing time of 3:51:45, making her 62nd in the F55 category.
Mel Walker was 19th M70 in 4:05:59, with a 10K time of 54:01 and halfway mark of 1:57:07.
Colm O’Brien made it through 10K in 55:54 and 13 miles in 1:59:38, crossing the finish line in The Mall in 4:29:29.
Sue Blackman triumphed in a time of 5:58:47, completing the first 10K in 1:10:13 and reaching halfway in 2:53:07.
Nearer home, three members took on local 10K races.
Debra Hennessey completed the Blackpool 10K in 59:10, while Mumtaz Patel was fifth F35 at the Whitley Village 10K in 47:15 followed by Elaine Roper, second F55 in 51:11.
On Saturday, Laurence Keighley and Lucille Corrigan tackled the Wray Scarecrow 10K. Keighley finished in 43:36 with Corrigan second F45 in 50:58.
Tim Taylor travelled to the Lake District for the popular Anniversary Waltz Fell Race in the Newlands Valley Horseshoe – popular, that is, with people who like their races 11.5 miles long with 3,600ft of climb. He completed the arduous challenge in 3:01:03.
Martyn and Isaline Pollitt tested themselves over three days on Easter weekend at the Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running. The challenge involved a 10K road race on Good Friday, the Peel Hill Fell Race on Easter Saturday and a 5K road race to finish off on Easter Day.
Isaline posted times of 43:40 for the 10K, 22:38 in the fell race and 21:29 in the 5K for an aggregate time of 1:27:46 and fourth vets women place.
Martyn completed the 10K in 39:54, the fell race in 29:01 and the 5K in 19:52 for an aggregate time of 1:28:46, 13th veteran male overall.
