THEY have won 15 games in a row, a streak stretching back to the start of December.

But, now they have completed their North Lancs/Cumbria season, Bolton RUFC's promotion hopes rest with lowly Littleborough this weekend.

The Cherry and Whites ended the campaign in second place behind champions De La Salle but they could be helpless to prevent their play-off spot being snatched away from them.

Aspatria – currently third, three points behind – travel to the Lancashire club's Rakewood Road ground to play their final fixture on Saturday, a match postponed in February.

And the Cumbrian side, who won the reverse fixture 34-8 earlier in the season, only need a victory at the team in 11th to climb above Bolton and earn a chance to play South Lancs/Cheshire runners-up Liverpool St Helens for the remaining promotion place.

Bolton did at least extend their winning run with a 53-41 victory at Trafford MV, with Will Bate scoring four tries and kicking three conversions and a penalty.
