WANDERERS’ development squad will host Reading in the last 16 of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League Cup.
Iain Brunskill’s side beat Wigan 4-1 on penalties on Friday after a 4-4 draw thanks to goals from the returning Sanmi Odelusi and a Georg Iliev hat-trick to make it through to the round of 16.
Ross Fitzsimons also saved two spot-kicks in the shootout after the sides could not be separated in extra time and Niall Maher netted the winning kick for the Whites.
The Reading clash will take place at the County Ground in Leyland next Monday, kick off 7pm.
Admission is £3 for adults, £1 for concessions, with season ticket holders able to attend free of charge.
