FORMER Wanderers defender Dean Holden has been appointed manager of Oldham Athletic until the end of the season.
Holden, who will have another former Whites star Tony Philliskirk as his number two at Boundary Park, has been in temporary charge of the Latics since Lee Johnson left to join Barnsley.
The 35-year-old who came through the ranks at Wanderers told the Latics website: "I'm delighted to accept the role of first-team manager of this fantastic football club until the end of the season.
"I'm also pleased Tony will be alongside me to add his experience and knowledge of the game as we progress forward."
