FORMER Liverpool and Wolves winger Adam Hammill is training with Wanderers in the hope of earning a contract.

The Bolton News understands the 27-year-old, released by Huddersfield Town in the summer, is looking for a short-term contract with the Whites.

Neil Lennon has already offered a trial to ex-Newcastle United man Shola Ameobi and is expected to offer the Nigeria international a deal until the end of the season.

But the Wanderers boss is hopeful he will have cash to spare to secure Hammill, a left-sided midfielder who made his way through the ranks at anfield at the same time at Jay Spearing.
