WANDERERS (4-4-2)

PAUL RACHUBKA 3: Made one save of note in the game – and that landed at the feet of Wilbraham. Mix-up with Wheater in the first half almost cost a goal.

DERIK OSEDE 2.5: Slaughtered at right-back and offered no protection at all by Mark Davies in front of him, the Spanish defender looked miles and miles off the pace all day.

DAVID WHEATER 3: Back in the team for the first time in 12 games. Usually a dependable customer but on this evidence he was nowhere near ready for a return.

ROB HOLDING 3: Toughest afternoon of the young man’s Bolton career. Should have had a penalty awarded against him and sloppy in possession at times.

DEAN MOXEY 2.5: Appalling. A senior player with Premier League experience – he didn’t get close to Tomlin all day. Moxey has been a weak link for some time.

JOSH VELA 3: Back in midfield but found himself chasing shadows as Bristol City passed around him. Didn’t get on the ball nearly enough to do any damage.

DARREN PRATLEY 3: Hardly made a dent but gave away more cheap fouls than anyone else. Looked frustrated and should, as skipper, have apologised on behalf of the team.

TOM WALKER 2.5: This was a big chance for the young midfielder to show he shouldn’t have been frozen out under Lennon. He did not take it, and that’s putting it mildly.

MARK DAVIES 2: Completely and utterly anonymous in the first half offering no protection at all to Derik behind him. Another senior player who has let his team down.

GARY MADINE 3: Did muster the only shot of any significance but contributed very little else. Didn’t hold the ball up well and was dominated by Flint and Baker.

KAIYNE WOOLERY 5: The youngster chased hard in the first half but with no end product. He had disappeared completely by the end of the game.

Subs: Danns 46 (for Davies) – Made little impact 3.5. Wellington 66 (for Walker) – Lasted 15 minutes 3.5. Dobbie 80 (for Wellington) – Nothing doing 2.

Not used: Campbell, Clough, Trotter, Maher.

STAR MAN: The travelling fans - There were 760 supporters at Ashton Gate who should be demanding their money back from Wanderers after an insipid performance. Many stayed to give their opinion to the players as they walked past them down the tunnel, and rightly so.
