WANDERERS have landed a local tie in the first round of the EFL Cup.
Phil Parkinson’s side will travel to Blackpool in the week commencing August 8, looking to book their place in round two.
The Whites have not met their old foes in any incarnation of this competition before but have a long history of cup football with the Tangerines.
The game will be the 100th meeting between the two teams in league and cup, the first of which was in 1896 and the last in April, 2015, when Eidur Gudjohnsen scored in injury time to deny Blackpool a first away win of the season.
