WANDERERS (4-2-3-1)

ADAM BOGDAN...6
Unlucky with the first goal after a fine initial save from Buckley. Made a couple of other more routine efforts.
ALAN HUTTON...7
Worked hard up and down the right, although he allowed too much space for Ulloa to swing in a cross for the first goal.
DAVID WHEATER...6
Not stretched to any great degree on his return to the side. Much of Brighton’s work was going on in front of him.
TIM REAM...6
Caught flat-footed by Medo’s tackle for the second goal but otherwise relatively comfortable alongside Wheater.
ALEX BAPTISTE...7
Provided most of Wanderers’ attacking impetus down the left. Always willing to join in, even though his effectiveness is reduced on the left.
JAY SPEARING...6
Forced to hold a deeper position than he has in the last few weeks. Tried to get things going but Brighton did a good job of by-passing him.
MEDO KAMARA...7
Desperately unlucky with a curling effort just before half time, the midfielder kept fighting but got little by way of luck.
CHUNG-YONG LEE...5
Failed to fill the gap vacated by Mark Davies. The Korean struggled to find his passing range and wasted a couple of good opportunities.
LIAM TROTTER...4
Just did not fit in the role he was being asked to play. Struggled to link-up and seemed to get in Jutkiewicz’s way in the first half.
JOE MASON...5
His goal should have stood but did not make anything like the impact he has when played in a more advanced role alongside Jutkiewicz.
LUKAS JUTKIEWICZ...6
Tried hard to give his side a platform to play off but seemed to lack support at times. Did not really get a sniff of goal.
Subs: Hall 5 (for Trotter, 53 mins), failed to get himself into the game at all. Moritz 5 (for Chung-Yong, 71 mins), looked out of touch after his arrival. Danns 5 (for Wheater, 80 mins), late burst of energy did not pay off. Not used: Lee-Barrett, Knight, Trelkeld, Vela.

STAR MAN
Alex Baptiste
With others seeming to struggle in the roles they were being asked to play, Baptiste’s energetic shift on the left was all the more impressive. Sadly, the fact a makeshift left-back also looked Wanderers’ most potent attacking threat on the day probably says it all.

BRIGHTON (4-1-2-3)
TOMASZ KUSZCZAK...7
BRUNO...6
GORDON GREER...7
LEWIS DUNK...7
STEPHEN WARD...7
ROHAN INCE...8
DALE STEPHENS...6
JAKE CASKEY...6
WILL BUCKLEY...7
LEONARDO ULLOA...6
JESSE LINGARD...6
Subs: March 70 (for Buckley), Rodriguez 80 (for Lingard). Not used: Brezovan, Calderon, Chicksen, Lopez, Lualua.

BRIGHTON STAR MAN
Rohan Ince
The former Chelsea youngster looked a class above in midfield, picking up every loose ball around the penalty box and moving possession on quickly and efficiently. Looks an absolute steal.
