NEIL Lennon admits he could be tempted to bringing Celtic star Kris Commons to Wanderers – but doubts he will get the opportunity.

Speculation linking the goal-getting midfielder with a move to the Macron Stadium fired up almost from the moment ex-Parkhead boss Lennon was installed this week.

But while Lennon would understandably relish the chance to work with the former Nottingham Forest and Derby man again, he played down his chances at his weekly press conference yesterday.

"Kris Commons scored 32 goals for me last season,” he said. “Of course I would be interested in him if it was at the right price.

“But would Kris Commons want to come here? I have never had that conversation.

“I would be pretty certain Celtic would be unwilling to let him go. A month ago he was in talks with the club about extending his contract. I don't know, it is speculation.”
