WANDERERS are set to steal a march on their Championship rivals to snap up Barnsley striker Craig Davies for a bargain fee.
Dougie Freedman is ready to exploit a buy-out clause in the Wales international’s contract at Oakwell and will open talks tomorrow (Friday).
Davies – also chased by Leicester City and Leeds United – would become the manager’s first permanent signing since arriving at the Reebok.
