Vela targets regular spot in starting 11

JOSH Vela has targeted a first-team place after making his comeback in the development squad this week.
The midfielder, who has been missing since September with knee ligament damage, played 80 minutes at Leyland against Oldham Athletic.
And the 19-year-old is now aiming to earn a regular spot after a long spell on the sidelines.
“It was really good to be back after spending the last four months out,” he said. “I have worked really hard putting in the hours in the gym. It has been tough, but now I just want to push on from here.”
