WOLVES have made an approach to Wanderers to sign striker Craig Davies.
The recently-relegated League One club have targeted the Wales international as the man to fire them back into the Championship.
Davies has a good scoring record in the lower leagues with Oldham, Oxford and Chesterfield but only arrived at the Reebok in January in a £300,000 deal from Barnsley.
A popular figure on the terraces, he made 18 appearances for the Whites last season, scoring four goals, and was deemed very much a part of the first team squad going into the new season.
There has been no confirmation as yet about whether Wolves' bid has been accepted – but Dougie Freedman is known to be keen on freeing up space in his budget to sign ex-Crystal Palace winger Andre Moritz.
