Tamir Cohen has travelled to Israel to be with his father, Avi, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Monday night.
Former Liverpool midfielder, Avi, is in a critical condition following five hours of surgery.
Avi Cohen was the first Israeli to play in England, joining Liverpool in 1979 from Maccabi Tel Aviv, and making 24 appearances.
He visited his son only last week, but returned home before the 1-0 defeat at Sunderland on Saturday, where Tamir Cohen made his first appearance of the season, coming on as a second half substitute.
