JACK Wilshere sent Arsenal team-mate Ryo Miyaichi up north with orders to go forth and prosper at Wanderers.

The former Reebok loanee gave the club a glowing recommendation after spending a successful six-month spell under Owen Coyle the year before last.

Japanese youth international Miyaichi, like Wilshere, arrives in Bolton boasting little first team experience for the Gunners.

And like the England midfielder, he has also been pitched into the midst of a survival battle, where he will aim to gain some match time between now and the end of the season.

All parties concerned are hoping that a spell of prolonged first-team exposure can bring about the same results as it did for Wilshere, whose career blossomed after his time in the relegation mix with the Whites.

“Two days ago Jack Wilshere told me that Bolton was a good club with nice supporters,” said the baby-faced teenager, who has made just two senior appearances this season. “He said that I would become a better player here.

“I saw what Jack did here two years ago. Of course, I want to be like him and play well for Bolton.

“Arsene Wenger wished me good luck and told me to go and enjoy myself when I get the chance to play. The captain, Robin van Persie, told me the same.”

Miyaichi – babyfaced even for a 19-year-old -earned a big reputation after a successful loan spell at Dutch club Feyenoord last season and earned a good look at his new team-mates during a Carling Cup appearance back in October at the Emirates.

“I was impressed because they were a god technical team who passed the ball,” he said. “My style is to dribble with the ball so I’m excited to come here and play with some very famous players.”

But life on Winter Hill is likely to be a different pace to that in the capital – and Miyaichi found that out first hand in a chilly introduction to the North West during Wednesday night’s 0-0 stalemate.

“I think it will be different and my first impression is that it’s a bit colder in Bolton,” he said.

“London is busier but here there is more countryside. It will be a new experience as well as playing football, I’m looking forward to living here.

“I want to get to know the Bolton people and find out more about the town.”
