Police investigating vehicle crime in Bromley Cross have made an arrest.

The man was arrested today, February 5, in Halliwell.

He remains in police custody for questioning. 

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police  Bolton North Neighbourhood team said: "A man has been arrested for vehicle crime in Bromley Cross.

"This morning, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have arrested a 53-year-old man in Halliwell on suspicion of theft from a vehicle and four vehicle interferences.

"This comes after reports of a number of vehicles on Saxby Avenue and Scholars Rise being targeted on January 27.

"He remains in police custody for questioning." 

Police in Bolton are cracking down on car crime, with a 'day of action' held recently.

Bolton police chief, Superintendent Danny O’Neil has been appointed as new force lead for vehicle crime.

Vehicle interference is defined as "interfering with a motor vehicle or trailer" with the intention of stealing the vehicle or trailer or part of it, or anything in it, or taking and driving it away without consent.
